Pair Chinese Porcelain Ginger Jars with Lotus & Fish, 22cm

A matching pair of Chinese porcelain lidded ginger jars, hand decorated with lotus flowers, fish and aquatic foliage in blue, pink and green enamels. Raised lotus-leaf details, geometric borders and floral lid decoration give each jar a distinctive sculptural finish.

• Matching pair; individually made, so the jars vary slightly
• Late 20th century, probably circa 1980s
• Chinese porcelain with blue rectangular “Made in China” export marks on both bases
• Each approx. 22 cm high with lid × 14 cm wide × 9 cm deep
• Approximate weights: 725 g and 647 g

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Both lids are complete, with no chips or cracks noted. Slight differences in shape and fit and a little natural wobble are present as described by the seller; light age-related wear may also be present. See all four photographs.
